I am the mother of six children and six grandchildren, with a grandson and granddaughter due in the next few months.

I am also finished being the maid in a house full of grownups, whether they live here or are just visiting.

​

My inspiration for the creation of Alice Haddow's House for Grownups rules first came as part of a planned move from our family home of about 20 years, to a new home where I thought it provided the opportunity for a reset, a reawakening, and a declaration of freedom for me personally.

I am grateful I did not wait too long to get these rules in place.
